Soft Tissue Manipulation

A trigger point can be described as an excessively irritable  knot in the muscle (an abnormal shortening of sarcomeres for you anatomy lovers out there) that refers pain either locally or across joints.

Trigger points can form from acute injury–think whiplash–or from chronic repetitive movements like straining the neck forward for long periods of time at your work station.

Massage and other neuromuscular techniques can help alleviate the tension and discomfort of trigger points.

For extreme and chronic pain, I work with Nurse Practitioner Raquel Wolf to bring even greater relief through Trigger Point Therapy.
